Steps to Connect Your Account
Open MetaTrader 4 on your computer.
Select "Open new account".
Search for the server XM.COM-DEMO
Then, select the option "Existing account" to enter your login details.
Fill in the fields with your login (account number) and password.
Click "Login".
Common Errors When Connecting Your Account
Incorrect or incomplete server name
What happens: You see the message "Invalid account" or the connection fails.
Cause: A generic or incorrect server was selected (e.g., XM.COM-DEMO2 instead of XM.COM-DEMO ).
Solution: Use the exact server name provided in your welcome email or user portal.
Incorrect login or password
What happens: The platform does not allow you to log in.
Cause: Mistyped credentials, wrong characters, or extra spaces.
Solution: Copy and paste your account number and password carefully, avoiding any extra spaces. Make sure you are using the MetaTrader password, not the portal password.
Unstable internet connection
What happens: The platform displays "No connection" or fails to load data.
Cause: Network issues or firewall/antivirus blocking the connection.
Solution: Check your internet connection, disable any firewalls or antivirus temporarily, and try switching to a different network if needed.
